| When I completed the “Drive of Your Life” game, I discovered that my personal style profile was: creative, influential and practical. The three careers that match my style are: psychologist, animal breeder and nursery worker. From this information I have decided to explore becoming a psychologist. I selected this job because I enjoy helping others and I feel good about it too. One of my daily activities as a psychologist would be to talk to the patients about their probelms. I also have to comfort them. In addition, I have to also give them a variety of treatment methods. To work as a psychologist I need Post-Doctoral degree and training. I must be good at listening to others and reading comprehension in order to become a well trained psychologist. In the United States, the average salary for a psychologist is $70,190.00 per year. In the state of Virginia, the average annual salary is $68,172.82. In the United States by the year 2016 employment for a psychologisti is expected to increase by 15.8%. In the state of Virginia by the year 2016 it is expected to increase by 30.0%. I am looking forward to becoming a psychologist in the future. |
